My services

I offer bilingual, evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention services to adults and couples, as well as supervision to therapists and grad students. I aspire to work collaboratively with clients in the development and realization of their therapeutic goals by establishing a climate of acceptance and respect. In this way, I aim to offer services that are accessible and free of discrimination or prejudice, where each person is welcome in all their humanity.

For the public

Individual therapy

My therapeutic style is colored by the prism of attachment, which I integrate as much into the lens through which I develop my clinical understanding as into my posture and the bond of trust I aspire to cultivate with my clients. In a spirit of collaboration, my psychotherapeutic approach is attuned to the needs and goals of individuals, drawing on the experiential, emotion-centered, mindfulness and self-compassion, interpersonal and cognitive-behavioral approaches in which I have been trained. My experiences in community, healthcare and private settings diversify my practice to respond to a range of difficulties affecting interpersonal relationships (e.g., grief and loss), mental health (e.g., mood and anxiety disorders, trauma and post-traumatic stress) and physical health (e.g., adjustment to illness, perinatal and post-partum health) with a view to promoting resilience, personal growth and fulfillment, as well as balance.

Couple therapy

Emotionally focused therapy (EFT), developed by Sue Johnson, has its roots in the humanistic, systemic and experiential currents. EFT offers an empirically validated therapeutic model, based on the science of attachment, to support individuals, couples and families in reconfiguring the way they relate to their internal world and their loved ones. As social mammals, our biology predisposes us to turn to our attachment figures for comfort when we experience discomfort, distress or pain, in order to restore our balance. As we work together, your romantic partner will become our precious resource. We’ll use your bond to enable us to develop greater flexibility in your interactions and (re)build authentic, secure exchanges to solidify your connection and intimacy.

Intensive couple therapy

A condensed, personalized and immersive formula that lets you take a break from everyday life to experience in three days the equivalent of around four months of weekly therapy. By fully immersing yourself in this moment dedicated to your relationship, you’ll be able to :

  • make faster progress towards authentic emotional connection and a decrease in distress ;
  • better understand what’s going on between you;
  • rebuild trust and strengthen your bonds;
  • rekindle complicity and hope;
  • leave with concrete guidelines for making these changes last.

For therapists

Individual supervision

For therapists who have already completed basic EFT training (or its university equivalent), individual supervision is an enriching opportunity to develop and grow as a therapist at various levels. In what I aim to be a safe, supportive and collaborative setting, I adapt to therapists’ needs to focus our work on the goals that are important to them, while punctuating our exchanges of humanity with celebrations of personal and professional successes. Depending on demand, supervision groups can be set up. Please do not hesitate to contact me with your request.

Group supervision (in French)

For therapists seeking a space for exchange, learning and complicity between colleagues, I offer with my colleague Dr. Caroline Gasparetto an open monthly supervision group. Each supervision consists of 2 clinical presentations with video excerpts, plus discussions and reflections that are open to the group. Presentation hours count towards ICEEFT certification requirements.

Educational activities

TANGO Study and Practice Group (in French)

In collaboration with Dr. Caroline Gasparetto, we offer a focused study group on the practice of micro (e.g., validation, empathic reflection, reframing in an attachment lens) and macro (i.e., tango) interventions of the EFT model for couples. Each session includes a theoretical overview of a distinct Tango movement, viewing clips of real couples from one of the supervisors or the other, and experiential practice of the skills and micro-interventions through deliberate practice or role-play.
